4Control technology manages vehicle dynamics electronically. An electronic control unit (ECU) continually monitors speed, steering wheel angle and driving style, and, based on these parameters, transmits the right command for the rear wheel turning angle. Vehicle trajectory is thus modeled and corrected at every instant.
Incomparable driving pleasure
4Control technology results in optimum driving precisions for fantastic at-the-wheel sensations, whatever your driving style or speed.
Below 60 kph, the rear wheels are designed to turn in the opposite direction from the front wheels, with a maximum angle of 3.5°. This makes maneuvers easier and reduces the turning circle.
Above 60 kph, 4Control gives the driver more precision. The rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels, which counters the centrifugal force that tends to push the rear end outwards in bends, considerably improving vehicle stability. You can also take tight bends confidently in complete safety.
Optimal safety
4Control was designed to bring you more safety in emergency situations and during sudden braking. With its integrated memory of steering wheel angles, the ECU can detect a “dodge” situation at any moment. The rear turning angle is automatically corrected to ensure vehicle stability, so that drivers keep control of the car in critical situations.
